This Crosstech Porcelain Fused Crown Preparation Set is set for the use for preparing anterior tooth in PFM crown placement.

The set consist of 11 multi-use FG Diamond Burs and 1 Carbide Bur.

Porcelain Fused Crown Preparation Set Use Instruction

1. Use B4 to prepare the stump as shown in Fig.1
2. Use A18F to trim level the gingival margin as shown in Fig.2
3. Use B2 or C4S to further trim the stump as shown in Fig.3
4. Use S2M to trim and prepare stump as shown in Fig.4
5. Use B11 to further trim stump as shown in Fig.5
6. Use B4 to level and flatten top edge as shown in Fig.6
7. Use C6 to trim gap between the two teeth as shown in Fig.7
8. Use C3F or B6MF to finely trim the stump front and edges to neatness as shown in Fig.8
9. Use C14 or C15 to trim front portion of anterior’s lingual as shown in Fig.9 and Fig.10
10. If an old crown need to be removed, use B6LC or B6LXC to operate.

 

Additional Note:

Porcelain Fused Crown has a natural teeth appearance and are more durable and harder than Ceramic Crowns. The main disadvantage of a Porcelain Fused Crown is that a dark line that is visible at the bottom edge of the crown. For Porcelain Fused Crown, a light chamfer bur is often used in operation.
